UNIUNIUNIUNI

Hullo everybody.

Long time no blog.

Haha, just like to share something. Our lecturer/course coordinator/marker dude for advanced engineering is awesome!! 8D

Yesterday was Sydney Uni open day as some of you might know. So, as part of our marking criteria, we had to set up stall to display and talk to prospective students about our projects. Being the amazing group we were, we attracted the most people xD
Ok.... maybe it because we borrowed this pretty cool flight simulator game that people could play with (basically driving/flying a model plane with this funky remote thing)

That aside, at the end of the day, everyone had packed up and we were getting ready to leave when the guy in charge of our course comes up. G is an undisclosed member of our group.
G: ... so, obviously we were the best stall today. How will this be marked? Isn't it a bit hard?
Lecturer: Well yes it is. Haven't figured out how I'm going to mark it yet.
G: Why don't you just give everyone high distinctions?
Lecturer: (laughs) I might just do that then.

Other interesting parts of the day:

Making these weird as 'super balls'. I think this was at some chemical engineering stall. But basically you get to mix the colour you want then they put in some gooey white stuff and then you have to mix it with your finger. When the stuff starts coagulating, you need to quickly scoop it out then roll it into a ball. Mine was such a fail.. ended up as some non-spherical blob. -___- BUT it bounced! =D

Later, came the trip to the make-your-own-ice-cream stall =D =D Though it did seem a bit dodgy, I have to admit, it tasted pretty good. The other volunteer did the boring measuring-ingredients bit then, I had to stir the giant mixing-bowl-of-ice-cream while wearing these giant, thick arm length gloves. The man at the stall started pouring liquid nitrogen to cool the milk/cream/sugar/chocolate sauce/cookies mixture while I stirred it. And then, voila! Ice cream! >=D wooo!

Wow, I've typed a lot. Should go start tearing my hair out at stupid mechanics and dynamics homework. These subjects are soooo hard!!!
The last interesting that happened: helium balloon collecting xD Due to my lack of skill in catching the semi-floating bundle of balloons. So, we recollected. And ended with an even bigger, ginormous bundle! Except, then random people and little kids starting coming after us and asking for the balloons.

Look:
(my friend's the one holding the balloons and with the blobbed out face. It's blobbed out because I know I'd be kinda annoyed if someone just randomly put a picture of me on their website.)

Car shoved full of balloons. WARNING: HIGHLY DANGEROUS. Do NOT try this at home!

Okay, that is all. Have a nice day. Study hard. Then, go EAT. =D
