Hello friends :D
Long time no post :( but luckily we have THREE WHOLE MONTHS to catch up and generally be awesome
Today, I went to work at the shelter where I walk dogs.I love the job but i hate how everybody else who works there is either really old or really REALLY old. There's so many doggy walkers there that its hard not to bump into someone walking a dog from the shelter on the street, and having to walk the rest of the 20 minutes with them, trying to make conversation and failing miserably. At least with people nearer my own age , i can ask the generic "which uni do u go to? what course do u do?" questions but i obviously can't with elderly women.
So yesterday I was happily walking my chosen doggy when I bumped into another fellow walker. I knew her well enough to hold about a five and half second conversation with her but after that the conversation shriveled up and died like a slug drowned in salt. It got to the point where I was internally begging my dog to stop and do a poo so I could at least make a witty observation like "LOOK A POO" and maybe the conversation would have flowed onwards from there and we would have become best friends f0rEvEr$$zzZZz <-- I hate people who type like that and unnecessarily elongate their words . Not only is it an eyesore but it takes me ages to decipher. And people who use words like "waz" "lawl" "hawt" as in was, lol , hot. I fully understand abbreviating but half of those aren't even abbreviations and they dont even make sense when you say them out loud.
Anyhoo, im getting a siberian husky next week ! We went to have a look at it today and she is SO CUTE and massive for a 7 month old puppy and also really lickety and spastic.
Her name is "Hachi" which means 8 in Japanese and she's the most beautiful caramel colour .But huskies have really scary eyes. As "Hachi" was jumping and licking my face I couldnt help looking at those penetrating eyes and thinking that maybe she was secretly plotting to murder me.
Speaking of murder, I watched a movie called Orphan with my mum a few days ago. It's meant to be a psychological thriller so it wasn't scary as in ghosts and gruesome faces which randomly pop out and stuff but the meaning itself was freaky.Basically a couple who have a deaf three year old girl and a thirteen-ish year old boy decide to adopt a nine year old girl called Esther from an orphanage. She seems really innocent and everything but then things start to go wrong :O One of the nuns from the orphanage comes to the couple's house after they've adopted the girl to warn them that things tend to go wrong when Esther is around. Esther then kills the nun secretly as she is leaving and convinces the three year old deaf girl to help her.
Anyway, in the end , after all this stuff has gone wrong ( the boy nearly dies, a girl from school breaks a leg ) the mum starts thinking that something is wrong with Esther but nobody believes her.
So she looks into Esther's belongings and finds a bible which came from the "Saarne Institute" .She looks up the place and it turns out it is a mental institution. So she sends in a photo of Esther and the guy from the institute calls her and tells her that "Esther" is not a none year old girl at all but a 33 year old serial killer called Leena who has hypo-something which is a disease where you stop growing at a certain age. So she used body wrappings and false teeth/make up and make herself seem like a young girl. And she somehow managed to escape from the institute a year earlier and get a place in the orphanage in another country.
FREAKY
If i ever adopt, I am definitely checking for false teeth/body wrappings/make up first .
Anyway , I have officially freaked myself out and am convinced Esther is going to pop out under my desk so i will go sit with my dog and my mum and watch asian dramas which i dont understand.
